10a Leaves succubous (with stem tip up, the leaves overlap like a Venetian blind turned down) or transverse (leaf inserted at right angles to stem).
INCUBOUS IS THE LESS COMMON MODE OF LEAF INSERTION.
10b Leaves (or large dorsal lobes of leaves) clearly incubous
(with stem tip up, the leaves overlap or are angled like a Venetian blind turned up).
